Train Assistant: A Rail Map App for Travelers
Train Assistant is a free Android app developed by TrainAssistant that aims to help railway personnel by providing them with the necessary information regarding railway regulations. The app features real-life scenarios for which the corresponding regulatory behaviors are given, taking into account all precautions for railway safety and accident prevention.
One of the app's unique features is the "Rail Map," which tracks your location based on the railway infrastructure's kilometric position. Rail Map also includes the MyTrain functionality, which currently includes the main lines of all DBRs (except for DBR Sardegna). It informs you in real-time about the train's exact position and the Traffic Regulator to contact in case of abnormalities.
The app has now added Train Dashboard, a new experimental function that allows you to have all the necessary information at your fingertips. However, please note that Train Assistant is not an official Trenitalia application, and we strive to keep the app updated. Still, the content may not be regularly updated and may not be up-to-date with current regulations. Train Assistant is not affiliated with Trenitalia and/or other companies in the FS Group, which are registered trademarks of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group.
